Brooklyn’s Inaugural Race Highlights Video

From iconic New York City sights such as the underground world that is the subway and the famous Brooklyn Bridge, check out all the reasons so many people love running the Synchrony Financial Rock ‘n’ Roll Brooklyn Half Marathon! We put together the Inaugural Race Highlights Video for your viewing pleasure, motivation to run, and inspiration to visit New York’s hippest borough (or rediscover it by running its closed streets, if it’s already home or in your backyard).

The first-ever race in 2015 starts off at picturesque Grand Army Plaza, bright and early in the morning, and runners took off, entertained by live bands, cheer teams, enthusiastic spectators, and even stilt walkers throughout the course!

Participants finished in beautiful Prospect Park – Brooklyn’s flagship park – and were greeted by joyful volunteers handing them their finisher’s medals. And let’s not forget about the free Michelob Ultra beer participants received at the Finish Line Festival as a perk of running – and finishing – this inaugural race!

The 2015 race featured Nate Ruess, headliner of the Toyota Concert Series, entertaining runners who were there to celebrate their big finish.
