Meet St. Jude Patient Ally

In the fall of 2013, Ally found out she had a rare brain tumor called medulloblastoma. At a hospital near her family’s home, she underwent surgery and proton therapy.

In March of the following year, Ally’s family came to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, where she received chemotherapy. She’s now back home and returns to St. Jude for regular checkups.

Runners who raise funds for St. Jude are helping kids, like Ally. No family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Ally’s favorite subject is science, and she wants to be a scientist when she grows up. “St. Jude looks like a place of miracles,” said Ally’s mom. “It’s all about the kids.”
