“Dallas is a great running city and we are thrilled to put on another world class event in 2018,” said Madora Mak, Event Manager. “With live music, great sights and enthusiastic spectators this race will keep your momentum going from start to finish. We encourage all interested runners and walkers to grab a friend, lace up those athletic shoes and join us next spring.”
The event will once again feature two days of running with the Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll 5K on Saturday in Fair Park. Participants can take the “Remix Challenge” by running both Saturday and Sunday and will earn the special Remix Challenge medal in addition to each race’s finisher medals.
Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Dallas Half Marathon starts at Young St. and Lamar St. (near the Omni Dallas Hotel) and will take runners on a tour of downtown including the spectacular sights of Deep Ellum, Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, The Bishop Arts District and Houston Street Bridge where participants will get a firsthand look at the Dallas skyline. The course will finish at The Lawn at Reunion.
In true Rock ‘n’ Roll fashion local bands will play through the streets of Dallas, along with spectators and high school cheerleading teams lining the route to motivate runners to the finish line. Upon finishing, participants are invited to relax and celebrate with family and friends at the finish line festival.
