Meet St. Jude patient Marley

12 years old

When Marley was found to suffer from a type of brain tumor called an ependymoma, her family turned to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® for her care.

Runners who fundraise for St. Jude while training for their race are called St. Jude Heroes, and they’re helping kids, like Marley. The funds raised by Heroes help ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

At St. Jude, Marley’s treatment included chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Today, she is finished with treatment and returns to St. Jude for regular checkups. Marley likes electronics and can often be found playing on her computer or iPad. She also likes to watch movies and bowl with her friends.
