Runners Take Off at 2017 Transamerica Rock ‘n’ Roll Denver Half Marathon

More than 13,000 runners from all 50 states and 13 countries toed the start line at the 8th annual Transamerica Rock ‘n’ Roll Denver Half Marathon on Sunday. Defending champion Gebrekiden Abadi won the men’s half marathon in 1:06:12, and Janelle Lincks placed first in the women’s half marathon in 1:19:56. Two Transamerica Go Givers passed runners to raise money for the American Heart Association. In addition to live music along the course, Denver Outlaw dancers cheered on runners at the finish line. Upon finishing, all runners celebrated with family and friends at the finish line festival, where Analog Son took the stage to headline the post-race Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Series.
