Why do you run? Two Transamerica employees are taking on the Rock ‘n’ Roll Denver Half Marathon to support heart health awareness. Alex Behm and Dichele Jackson are running as Transamerica Go-Givers, meaning they’ll be starting the race in last place. For every runner they pass, Transamerica will donate a dollar to the American Heart Association.
“I have lost two uncles to massive heart attacks in the last year,” Jackson said. “The opportunity to run and support the American Heart Association is extremely meaningful to me. I’m running to protect my heart and my family’s hearts.”
Behm is an accomplished runner but wants to improve over his latest performance, which left him underwhelmed. “Going into the race I was sure I would do a little better. I’m motivated to run because I am dedicated to remaining healthy. I’m honored to be representing Transamerica and our commitment to health and wealth.”
