Getting to The Start Line!

SATURDAY

 

      GETTING TO THE 5K START LINE

There is no parking available on site at DIT Grangegorman. We recommend using

public transport to get here if possible. ‘Grangegorman’ and ‘Smithfield’ LUAS stops

are only a few minutes walk to the 5K start line.

There are also a number of city centre parking locations within walking distance of

each venue.

 

Surface Car Parks – APCOA, New Church St, Smithfield.

Underground Cap Parks – ParkRite, Queen St, Smithfield. ParkRite, Parnell Centre.

APCOA, Jervis St. Arnott’s Car Park, Prince’s St.

 

SUNDAY

 

GETTING TO THE HALF MARATHON & 10K START LINE

There is no parking available on site at either DIT Grangegorman (10K) or the Royal Hospital Kilmainham (Half Marathon). There is a number of city centre parking locations within walking distance of each venue.

 

DIT Grangegorman:

We recommend using public transport if possible. ‘Grangegorman’ and ‘Smithfield’ LUAS stops are only a few minutes walk to the 10K start line.

 

Surface Car Parks – APCOA, New Church St, Smithfield.

Underground Car Parks – ParkRite, Queen St, Smithfield. ParkRite, Parnell Centre. APCOA, Jervis St. Arnott’s Car Park, Prince’s St.

 

All of the above car parks are easily accessible via LUAS red line from St. James’ stop post event.

 

Half Marathon:

APCOA – Heuston Station.

QPark* – St. Stephen’s Green/RCSI, Dawson St, Setanta.

Park Rite* – Drury St.

On Street* – Merrion Square, Ely Place, Fitzwilliam Square.

*: for access to shuttle bus services.

 

LUAS:

We recommend using public transport if possible.  ‘St. James’ and ‘Heuston’ LUAS stops are only a few minutes walk to the start line.

Park & Ride facilities are available for the LUAS services at the following locations:

Red Line: Red Cow, Tallaght, Cheeverstown.

Green Line: Balally, Stillorgan, Carrickmines.

 

*IMPORTANT*

We will be providing FREE shuttle buses for runners and spectators on Sunday, 12 August 2018.  No shuttle buses are available on Saturday.

Pre-Race
Starting at 06:30am, shuttle buses will be available from St. Stephen’s Green South and will take runners to the end of Military Road (Royal Hospital Kilmainham). See map below.  Shuttles will run every 15 minutes between 06:30am and 07:45am only.

Post-Race
Starting at 11:00am, shuttle buses will take athletes from Military Road (Royal Hospital Kilmainham) to St. Stephen’s Green South.  See map below.  Shuttles will run every 15 minutes between 11:00am and 13:30pm only.

Parking
If you are driving, we recommend you park in any of the carparks in the vicinity of St. Stephens Green area. These include:
