2017 GEICO Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Photo Gallery

On a picturesque night to run – temperature in the 60s, cloud cover – nearly 25,000 runners, walkers and wheelchair races took to the Las Vegas Strip for the marathon, half marathon and 10K in the biggest outside event since the tragedy that struck Las Vegas on Oct. 1. The mood was quiet and respectful with no bands playing near Mile 2 in front of the open field where the shootings unfolded. In front of the open field where the shootings took place, runners and walkers passed white banners they had autographed at the expo. The neon-lit Las Vegas Boulevard Strip was exclusively shut down for runners as they passed the Bellagio, Caesar’s Palace, the Flamingo, the Mirage, Treasure Island and Circus Circus.
