About the Course

The race begins at 8:00 AM in Cascais, and has a length of 42195 meters. The course follows the scenic Marginal road, along the Tagus River to Lisbon, and finishes at the Praça do Comércio, at the same location of the Half Marathon, which runs on the same morning.

The Marathon time limit is 6 hours. After the time has elapsed, the atheles will be asked to move to the sidewalks, and may not receive an official time. The time limit is a provision required by the police authorities responsible for traffic in the area of greater Lisbon.

About the Course

The Half Marathon is a competitive, timed race.  The distance is precisely 21.095 meters, and it starts on the Vasco da Gama Bridge at 10:30 AM. The Half Marathon and Mini Marathon begin together, although the Mini Marathon starts behind the Half Marathon. The Organization provides a free, mandatory bus service to the bridge. Buses leave from the Vasco da Gama shopping centre, from 7:30 until 09:00 am. This is the only way to reach the starting line. The ELITE ATHLETES (men and women) in the Half Marathon start at the same time, but from a different location.  The Elite Athletes start near the Expo Area.  The same location is also used for the 10:25 AM CTT Wheelchair Race. Only athletes selected and invited by the organization can start from the Expo Area.

Start and finish line at Cais Português, next to Rossio dos Olivais, Parque das Nações. A race for children, with age groups for 6/8 years old; 9/10 years old and 11/13 years old. Sign up during SportExpo, on October 13 and 14, from 10am to 8pm.

About the Course

A track with around 4km, with start and finish line at Cais Português, next to Rossio dos Olivais, Parque das Nações. This walk is open to all who wish to participate. FREE signup. Souvenirs for all. Sign up during SportExpo, at the Tejo Room of the Atlantic Pavillion, on October 13 and 14, from 10am to 8pm.

EDP Mini Marathon

About the Course

This is a non-timed event, ideal for families because the route is an easy 6 kilometers. The race starts from the Vasco da Gama Bridge, at 10:30 AM, at the same time but slightly behind the Half Marathon start. The Organization provides a free, mandatory bus service to the bridge. Buses leave from the Vasco da Gama shopping centre, from 7:30 until 09:00 am. This is the only way to reach the starting line. The “EDP Mini Marathon” is a real treat for runners and walkers alike, regardless of age or athletic condition. It’s a Fun Run!
