A Bit About Our Main Stage Acts

JUDAS are a London-based indie rock four piece drawn together from all corners of the UK. Despite only being together two short years, they have already accomplished some very significant milestones for such a young band. After releasing their self titled EP, they set their sights on becoming one of the most exciting live bands of the moment, blazing through a string of major festivals and critically acclaimed gigs at renowned venues such as KOKO, Wolverhampton Civic Hall, Islington Assembly Hall and the Indigo at the O2. With hundreds of live performances under their belt and coveted appearances across TV and radio, the boys are certainly beginning as they mean to go on. JUDAS’ sound is most commonly compared to a combination of U2 and Kings of Leon with huge, anthemic songs and timeless melodies making up the core of their sound. With influences including Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay and Stereophonics, JUDAS have created a unique yet familiar sound that is delivered live with exceptional energy.

M.A.N.E. is a Liverpool based artist / producer. He recorded his first single ‘In Deep Lovers’ at Parr St collaborating with producer Chris Taylor. The single has racked up over a million streams and hit playlists all over the world from Australia, Japan, Brazil, UK and Europe. BBC Introducing have been quick to champion M.A.N.E. with radio play and a live studio session. M.A.N.E. is a blend of electronic and indie influences bound together with classic songwriting.

“Beautifully brooding songwriting…” CLASH

Through a patient clutch of singles, the raw and anthemic song-craft of Liverpool’s Cavalry has cut a melancholy notch into the city’s vibrant, new music renaissance. With a cinematic sound courting comparison to bands like The National and The Maccabees, their atmospheric songs pit wide-screen guitars against brooding vocals. Emerging in 2015 with online singles “An Understanding‟ and “Soak’, early support from BBC Introducing carried them into the radar of Radio 1, Radio 2 and 6 Music, in addition to nods from The Guardian and Music Week. In 2016 they cut their first official release: the AA-side single „Lucerne/Everything‟ on revered indie imprint Fierce Panda (Coldplay, Keane, Death Cab For Cutie) as part of their annual singles club. Capturing the intimate/cinematic duality of the band‟s songwriting, both tracks took in airplay on XFM, Amazing Radio, and the BBC – including a handpicked play of „Everything‟ from Hollywood actress Chloe Grace Moretz on Huw Stephens‟ Radio 1 show. Led by pulsating online single „Heresy‟, the band’s first full-length EP ‘See The Night Perform’ arrived in 2017, earning backing from CLASH and The 405.

Connie Lush

Connie has been recognised as one of the finest Blues singers in the Uk today.  The winner of “Best Female Vocalist Uk” no less than five times has earned Connie her place in the Gallery of Greats. Connie grew up in Liverpool and was singing in her church and school choirs from the age of 5 yrs.  Singing was never a career option, nor did Connie wish to until she met and married Bass Player Terry Harris who persuaded Connie to step on stage.  Since that first night, Connie decided she never wanted to leave.  Together they have shared that stage since. Connie burst onto the blues scene making her debut at the “Great British R&B Festival at Colne and never looked back. Connie has wowed audiences in Europe and from Moscow to LA. And of course singing at BB Kings Club, Beale Street, not to mention singing on Hollywood Boulevard…….Then there was Glastonbury.  But most of all for Connie has to be touring UK with the late, great BB king, culminating in a show at the world famous Royal Albert Hall London. Connie herself said “Nervous? I was both nervous and ecstatic at the same time! Not only was I on stage at the Albert Hall, but BB King was listening backstage!” Connie is also known as a songwriter, DJ and unforgettable performer. Blues is her business and business is good! As BB King said “That woman makes my heart sing”
