Spectator Center

Spectators are a huge part of the racing experience – with so many people lining the streets, it is just as important for spectators to prepare for race day as it is for the athletes themselves.

We have put together a list of the top tips for spectators to remember that will be sure you give their runner that extra kick they need!

Spectator Guide - L.A. LIVE Start/Finish Line
  • To get to L.A. LIVE we recommend utilizing Metro public transportation on race day. If you’re coming to L.A. LIVE by rail, ride the Metro Blue or Expo Line to Pico Station (2 min walk) or the Metro Red or Purple Line to 7th St/Metro Center Station (7 min walk). To find the route that’s best for you, use the Metro Trip Planner or contact Metro at (323) GO METRO or (323) 466-3876.
  • You can reserve parking ahead of time by using the app, Spot Hero, or by visiting their website at: https://spothero.com/los-angeles-parking

Please be aware that streets will be closed for the race and there will be traffic as other events are happening in downtown Los Angeles. We advise you to use WAZE as your navigational app to best direct you around road closures and traffic.

Spectator Guide - Viewing on Course

This fast out and back course gives you multiple chances to cheer on your loved ones on course. The best location to see the most action is on Figueroa between Pico & Olympic –otherwise known as L.A. LIVE (800 W. Olympic Blvd). The race will start on Figueroa and Pico at 6:45 AM and head south towards the USC campus.  You’ll catch the runners again on their return on Figueroa at Mile 5.5 before they run north towards Wilshire Blvd and Koreatown. Finally, the runners will return on Figueroa again before crossing the finish line at Chick Hearn Court.

Map Out Your Cheer Stops

Just as a runner studies the course map, it is important for spectators to do, as well. Talk with your runner: where on course do they think they will need the most support? Planning ahead so your runner knows where to expect you gives them that added motivation to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Can you be at multiple points on course? Point-to-point courses require some additional planning, but it can be done.
