Gear Check

If you need to leave personal items for after the race, you can do it with our Gear Check service.

All registered participants in any of the three races of the EDP Rock ‘n’ Roll Madrid Maratón & ½ can use the Gear Check service free of charge.

Where will the Gear Check be located?

Gear Check drop for the EDP Rock´n´Roll Madrid Maratón & ½ will be located in the finish line area approximately 1200 meters from the starting line.

How and when can runners drop off their Official Gear Check Bags?

When runners pick up their Race Bib at the Expo, they will also receive a numbered sticker that will match the Race Bib number, and an Official Gear Check Bag.  This bag must be used on race day to store personal items. The sticker should be placed on the indicated space on the Gear Check bag.

The Gear Check service will be open from 7:00 am on race-day and will close at 3:30 pm (15:30).

Each distance, Marathon, ½ Marathon, and 10k will have different designated Gear Check Areas. Runners should drop off their bags at the corresponding area according to both their distance and the last digit of their bib number.

Drop off 1: Bib numbers ending in 1

Drop off 2: Bib numbers ending in 2

Drop off 3: Bib numbers ending in 3

Drop off 4: Bib numbers ending in 4

Drop off 5: Bib numbers ending in 5

Drop off 6: Bib numbers ending in 6

Example: Bib number 1255 (Marathon distance) should hand in their bag at the Marathon Tent number 5

Example: Bib number 35128 (10k distance) should hand in their bag at the 10K Tent, number 8.

 

How can runners pick up their Official Gear Check Bags after the race?

Runners can pick up their bags in the same area where they dropped off their bags according to their bib number and race distance.

IMPORTANT: The Gear check personnel will only accept the Official Gear Check Bags provided by the organization.

Do not leave valuable belongings. The organization is not responsible for any damaged, lost, or misplaced items.

Unclaimed bags will remain in the hands of the organization for one week after the race at the MAPOMA headquarters (C/ Donoso Cortés Nº 54). After, the organization will give all bags to a Charity selected by the Organizer’s of the event.
