More than 34,000 runners took to the streets yesterday for the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville Marathon & 1/2 Marathon, and each one of them was running for a different reason.
Since our partner Quicken Loans is all about doing things differently, they thought that this would be the perfect time for a special edition of Rocket Mortgage Madness. Throughout the day, Quicken Loans and endurance sports Hall-of-Famer Bob Babbitt – dressed as Mr. Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon – talked with participants about why they were running.
That’s when they did something really unexpected, surprising runners with cash to use toward mortgage payments or anything else they might need.

By the end of the day, Quicken Loans had given out $25,000 to runners and, more importantly, helped make the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville Marathon & 1/2 Marathon one of the biggest and best races yet.
