Aamir was 10 months old when he started walking, but around his first birthday, his parents began to worry. He cried constantly and no longer wanted to walk.

When tests revealed Aamir had acute lymphoblastic leukemia, his family turned to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, where he is undergoing two-and-a-half years of chemotherapy.

Runners who fundraise for St. Jude are helping kids like Aamir. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Aamir’s cancer is in remission, and he’s responding well to treatment. “He loves to dance, no matter the music,” said his mother, Ashley. “The treatment he’s receiving here he wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else. St. Jude is amazing.”
