So Frenchy, So Chic!

In honor of its rich cultural history, we salute French traditions in La Nouvelle-Orléans (New Orleans).

Prepare for some French discovery when you hit the streets of NOLA. Here’s a short list to pique your interest:

The French founded and settled New Orleans on May 7, 1718.

The French Catholics enjoyed great food and celebrations, leading to some of the best New Orleans traditions of  Mardi Gras and Fat Tuesday.

French influence continues in the architecture, culture and cuisine. Check out:

Arnaud’s Restaurant

Bistro Daisy

Cafe Degas

La Madeleine French Bakery & Cafe

and many more.

And don’t forget, we say beign-yay to beignets – feel free to drop into Cafe du Monde during your New Orleans weekend (or dare we say, during your race, it’s right on course?)
