Meet Stuft Mama | Kristin

Ever wonder who’s standing next to you in your corral at the start line, or cheering you on when you’re about to give up during a race? We’ll be featuring guest bloggers that have a passion for Rock ‘n’ Roll and inspire us by their dedication and commitment to the sport of running. You may recognize their faces, but the purpose of these posts is to put a face behind the name to better 300x600_Kristin_Stuftmamaunderstand their journey to self-discovery.

Today’s post comes to us from Rock ‘n’ Blog member Kristin, author of Stuft Mama. A San Diego mama that turned her “me” time in to her passion.

I’ve always been into fitness, but really got into running more once my twin boys were born. It started out just as my “me” time and “therapy”, but has gradually turned into a huge passion for marathon racing.

Running makes me be the best person I can be. I love the fact that anyone can run. I hope to inspire others to get out there and run and be the best they can be as well. I run for my boys and for my family. I’m recently back to running after being sidelined with a pretty serious injury for about 6 months, so I appreciate the gift more than ever now.

My very first Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon was my first qualifying time for Boston. It will always have a special place in my heart. I would encourage others to run San Diego because the course is awesome as are the spectators and the weather. What more could you ask for?
