Why do you run?
I run because for many, many years I couldn’t because I was so overweight. I run because it’s a challenge for me. I am always chasing a faster mile. I run to show my kids that fitness needs to be a part of our lives. I love that with this sport you can always improve and always have a new challenge & goal.
Favorite place to run:
Born and raised in Toronto Canada, my favourite place is along Lake Ontario. Now living in Florida, any chance I get to run by the ocean I take it! Give me some scenary and Im a happy runner. My family is so wonderful, I plan many of our vacations around races. It has become the norm to refer to them as “racecations”.
Running gear you can not live without:
Confession: a bit of a gear junkie. I like to try the latest and greatest. I love innovative and creative gear. #mustBuyAllTheGear 3 must have’s: good shoes – good socks – phone (#Runfie)
When not running where would we find you?
I’m always sweating in one form or another. If I’m not running you can find me teaching boot camp fitness classes or working with my personal training clients.
Favorite post race fuel:
Each race is different. I like to plan my post race food strategy while I am running. It keeps my mind busy and gives me some incentive to pick up the pace to get to the food. First choice would be donuts #WillRunForDonuts – second would be Sushi, lots and lots of sushi.
