“Life is a Journey, not a Destination.” It gets me through the tough runs and my tough days. I never look at my race as my final goal and destination, but rather another step in the journey of my running life.
Why do you run?
I run because it reminds me of the good that this body can do for me. I haven’t always had the best body image and I still struggle with it daily, but running is something awesome that this body does. It’s something that no one else can do for me. When I finish a race, I have to accept that I DID THAT!!! I can’t make an excuse like, “oh well, so and so helped me.” Nope. My body did it.
Favorite place to run:
Absolutely favorite place is the beach!
Running gear you can not live without:
My phone because it has my music, inspirational podcasts and running apps that keep me going.
When not running where would we find you?
At home blogging in my home office or driving my kids to activities.
Favorite post race fuel:
I always have a G2 and a cheese stick when I finish a run.
Song you want to hear at the finish line:
Climb by Miley Cyrus. I know it’s not a typical finish line song, but the song reminds me that you got to keep on climbing….or running…
