HALF MARATHON

San Antonio Rock the Road Video Half Marathon Highlights

START LINE: ALAMODOME at Cherry St.

The Alamodome marks the start of this race and is home to many national sports and major events.

Mile 1.25: THE ALAMO

First built in 1744, the Alamo is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Mile 3: PEARL BREWERY DISTRICT

A brewery from 1883 to 2001, Pearl provides a unique experience as a top culinary and cultural destination.

MILE 5: BRACKENRIDGE PARK and SAN ANTONIO ZOO

Brackenridge Park is known as the “crown jewel of parks, rich in history, tradition and fun memories” while the Zoo was opened to the Alamo City in 1914.

Mile 6: TRINITY UNIVERSITY

Trinity is a private university, founded in 1869. It is also the site of the Two-Person Relay transition!

Mile 10.5: BLUE STAR ARTS DISTRICT

This Complex is now home to apartments, restaurants and a theatre but it was first the site of farmland for German settlers.

FINISH LINE: ALAMODOME

Mile 16: PADRE PARK and MISSION SAN JOSE

San José y San Miguel de Aguayo, the “Queen of the Missions,” is the largest mission in San Antonio, established in 1720 and finished in 1782.

Mile 22: SA RIVERWALK

Experience many restaurants, bars and shops. Envisage yourself taking a riverboat tour along the canal, post race!
