While the weather continues to roll across and through San Antonio, we will maintain a close watch in conjunction with our city partners, with the priority being to provide a safe environment for participants to complete the race that they have worked so hard towards; as well as a safe environment for spectators, volunteers and staff.

The San Antonio City Public Works and Operations Crew will continue to monitor the route for standing water and debris.

Runners should be prepared for rain and winds. Please note that winds may affect the ability for some signage to be placed. Please also be patient at water stations as the wind may blow the lightweight cups.

UPDATE // Saturday, December 3 – 6:30am CT

As of 6:30am CT, Saturday’s SUBWAY KiDS ROCK powered by San Antonio Sports has been cancelled.

Participant safety is our top priority. In consultation with the City of San Antonio, the San Antonio Police Department, the City of San Antonio Emergency Planner and the National Weather Service we have determined that the extreme weather conditions, coupled with the race’s proximity to a low-lying river, does not provide a safe experience at this time.

We share in the disappointment of the kids, school groups, families and friends who have looked forward to this day. All participants will receive a full refund.

An update on today’s 10K race will be provided at 7am.
