Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio kicked off race weekend with the Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll 10K on Saturday. The weather was cold and rainy but more than 2,000 runners toed the start line, which took off from Hoefgen Ave and finished right by the iconic Alamo. 2016 U.S. Olympians Meb Keflezighi and Jared Ward both paced the race. Upon finishing, participants were treated to live music at the finish line festival. Sunday is the main event with the half marathon and 10K. Participants that ran the 5K and any distance on Sunday will earn the coveted Remix Challenge medal in addition to each race’s finisher medals.
