Since the very first race in 1998, runners have hit the streets in the wildest outfits. So what better way to celebrate with us then by joining the tradition in your favorite costume and running sneakers?
Get inspired by Rock ‘n’ Roll enthusiasts John Biel and Sarah Lupien, who take running in costume to a whole new level. These runners have traveled the country dressing up in costumes that represent each city.
“We love traveling the country to do the different Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon races. As if the distances weren’t hard enough, we like to add some extra challenge by running in a costume. Our costumes normally revolve around the city or the theme of the race. Beignets in New Orleans, tacos in Arizona, and even a packaged roll of sourdough bread for San Francisco.”
Come rock San Diego and see what these two have in store for the big celebration! And check out other costumes that have rocked the San Diego course since the inaugural race. What is your costume this year?register now
