Meet St. Jude patient Mia

When Mia was found to suffer from a brain tumor identified as a craniopharyngioma in 2012, her family turned to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® for her treatment and care, which included surgery and 30 proton therapy treatments. “Everything at St. Jude is really top notch,” said Mia’s mom. “There’s nothing like St. Jude.”

Runners who fundraise for St. Jude while training for their race are called St. Jude Heroes, and they’re helping kids, like Mia. The funds raised by Heroes help ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Mia is a funny girl who loves to laugh. She loves to play with Legos and plans to be a Master Lego Builder when she grows up.
