San Francisco’s Course Entertainment

So there are no surprises on race day, it’s important you are up to speed on the course entertainment in San Francisco. Due to city sound ordinances in the past, we have not been able to have live bands on course during the first couple miles of the race.

Fear not! We are working on a new and improved course for you in 2018 in hopes to bring more music as you tour the streets of San Francisco. We are also bringing back even more unique entertainers who embody the culture and ambiance of the city to motivate you across the finish line. After the first couple of miles, there will be tons of rockin’ music on course, including a headliner concert at the Finish Line Festival!

Here’s a look at some of the entertainment on course during the 2017 United Airlines Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon San Francisco:

Get transported back to the 60’s for the Haight Ashbury “Block of Love” complete with a selfie station, peace signs and flower power.

Run the wear blue mile with American flags lining the course, paying tribute to the service members who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Snap a picture and show your love for SF at the I Heart SF selfie station.

Fist bump the King of Rock when you pass him on course for some of that running Elvis power.

Rock out to the drag queen disco as they cheer you on, singing hits like “I Will Survive” to get you across the finish line!

After the race celebrate your 13.1 mile accomplishment with an ice cold beer and rocking performance from your Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Series Headliner!
