Live music on course makes up the heart and “sole” of this event. Live local bands will be performing a variety of music from alternative to classic rock, punk, funk and blues to jazz it up. The bands will keep the course pulsating as runners rock their way from start to finish!

Take a closer look at some of the bands you’ll see on course. There’s plenty more where this came from, so stay tuned!

Tiger Creek Creek Band

Tiger Creek is based out of Mount Vernon, Georgia. They were awarded the 2014 GA Music Awards 2014 Country Band of the Year. That same year, they were also finalists for the 2014 Band of the Year and Overall Artists/Band of the Year. The group has also won numerous Battle of the Bands. With their harmony filled, high energy country- Southern rock live shows they know how to entertain and have a good time doing it. The musical tastes and background of each member are diverse. With R&B, classic country and rock, 80’s rock, and blue grass roots, Tiger Creek Band shows will have you slow dancing with that special someone one minute and fist pumpin’ with them the next. Tiger Creek Band is right at home in local pubs doing acoustic sets or full band to headlining the main stage at festivals. The band has had the opportunity of opening for the LACS, Joshua Scott Jones( Steel Magnolia), Craig Campbell,  and Charlie Daniels.

Deep End Band

Deep End Band is a high-energy band that delivers top quality live music entertainment. This relatively new and exciting Savannah based band fills dance floors every time they step on stage. Deep End’s play list consists of blues, jazz, smooth R&B, Southern soul, and gospel. This party band is just what you need for race day and is sure to please. They’ve participated in World Aids Day in Forsyth Park as well as the Pinpoint Seafood Festival.

Movers & Shakers

Movers & Shakers is a Southern rock and roll band based in Savannah, Georgia. The band is comprised of Jesse “Madman” Riner (vocals/ lead guitar), Chandler “Cougar” Woods (vocals/ rhythm guitar), “Big Cat” Mike Peaden (bass guitar), and Nicholaus Wilkerson aka Slick Nick, aka Hammer Foot, Groove Machine Supreme (percussion). Made up of a variety of musical influences and playing styles, Movers & Shakers is a tight blend of deeply composed music and lyrics with an emphasis on philosophy and good vibes. Their sound is very moving, ranging from clean multi-layered groove-folk to hard-truckin’ stomp rock, all the way to soul-boogie breakdowns, the music is dead-set aimed at the heart. Accomplished musicians in their short time of performing, they have been invited to numerous exclusive battle of the bands, played on radio stations, and have played with such greats as Charlie Daniels.

Attention Cheer Teams and Dance Squads: we need you! High school and middle school cheer and dance teams are invited to compete in the Spirit on the Course competition. Cheer teams will line the course ready to encourage participants every step of the way. Costumes and themes are optional, but smiles and enthusiasm are required.

Cheer teams participating will not only be supporting the runners and walkers, but they will also be cheering to earn some money! Participating cheer teams will receive a stipend for participating.

  • 1st Place: $1,000
  • 2nd Place: $500
  • 3rd Place: $300
  • Other Participants: $100 stipend
