Watch these highlights from the 2016 Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon San Francisco! More than 9,000 runners toured the streets and hills of San Francisco for this bucket-list race that crosses the Golden Gate Bridge.
Elites and runners from all over the world participated in the 2016 event. Jonathan Varela Obando and Alisa MacDonald were the top finishers. The hilly course starts along the Great Highway, weaves through the beautiful Sea Cliff district and then heads up Lincoln Blvd., toward the Golden Gate Bridge. Runners cross the Golden Gate Bridge just after Mile 4 and return at Mile 8 before heading toward Crissy Field. After Mile 11 runners make their final climb up Polk Street, followed by a nice downhill finish to Civic Center Plaza.
