2015 Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Medals

Check out the 2015 Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas medals of the marathon, 1/2 marathon, 10K and 5K. The medals were a handsome reward for the 40,000+ participants who traveled to Las Vegas in November 2015 to experience running the Las Vegas #StripatNight! You can see the epic bling below.

The marathon and 1/2 marathon finisher medals featuring multiple spinning pieces are the first to be introduced in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series. Their design emulates the slot machines that have made Las Vegas famous. In accordance with the race distances, the spinning slot numbers are 1-3-1 and 2-6-2.  Can you recognize the slot machine icons with the matching numbers? Hint: 1 diamond, 3 bananas, 2 cherries, 6 grapes. Best of all, they glow!

Back for the 2nd year by popular demand was the Remix Challenge. This entailed running both the 5K on Saturday and any of the three distances on Sunday. The medals were the feature of many celebratory post-race photos. Coolest part about the Remix Challenge (besides running in Las Vegas twice in one weekend), is the spinning guitar pick medal with dice numbers 1-5 (for the year 2015).

We put all our chips in on the inaugural 10K in Las Vegas, and this medal followed suit! The side angle view shows four chips stacked atop one another. Participants who earned this medal felt like they really hit the jackpot.

A 5 and a King is not necessarily the hand you want to be dealt playing blackjack… However, participants were ok with it this time when they received this medal worthy of a king after completing the 5K on Saturday!
