If you have checked the weather, you may have seen that the forecast for this weekend is predicting a chance of rain. Here are a few expert tips to help you have a great experience, rain or shine.

We are working closely with City of Virginia Beach officials and the National Weather Service to monitor the forecast.
In the event of rain or showers, all races will start on time, as planned. In the event of severe weather, we have developed a contingency plan which prioritizes race day safety for all participants.

We will communicate any race day changes through email, on @Twitter and @Facebook.

Race scheduled to start on time. Light showers and breeze should bring cool refreshment for runners.

Q: How will the race director make the decision to delay or modify race day events?

A: We are working closely with the Emergency Planner for the City of Virginia Beach, City of Virginia Beach officials and the National Weather Service to monitor the forecast for the weekend and have developed a contingency plan in the event of severe weather. Our number one priority on race day is the safety of all participants and any decision to modify the events will be done with this in mind.
