2017 marks the 17th year of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Virginia Beach Race Weekend, and we’ve made some exciting changes to improve your experience this year!
New this year, the start line for Sunday’s half marathon is now at Pacific Avenue and 14th Street! What does this mean for you?
You’ll start right next to the famous Atlantic Fun Park, then head up Pacific, making your first turn at the iconic Neptune Statue. With the start and finish lines within walking distance, it’s super convenient for runners and spectators alike!
New this year, the 5K race will now take place on Saturday, September 2. What does this mean for you?
This move allows us to improve the experience for both 5K and half marathon runners, and gives you the opportunity to make the most out of your Rock ‘n’ Roll weekend!
When you run both the 5K on Saturday, September 2 and the half marathon on Sunday, September 3, you’ll earn both races’ medals PLUS a third, Remix Challenge medal! That’s one weekend, two days of running, and three times the bling. Click here to see them all.
Those looking for even more of a challenge can run the 5K Saturday morning at 7:00am and the Mile on the Sand at 8:30am to earn a bonus Land to Sand Challenge pin.
Take a look at your courses here and we’ll see you Labor Day Weekend for a celebration of music, medals, miles, and FUN!
