As the Rock ‘n’ Roll Virginia Beach team gears up for another year in the perfect destination city, Virginia Beach, we are reminded of all the reasons we love this coastal city so much. One of these reasons being the American Music Festival, the largest outdoor music festival on the East Coast.
Each year, runners* can take advantage of the 3 day beachfront music festival IN ADDITION to the Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Series Headliner, Sister Hazel at the finish line festival on Sunday. Thousands of spectators will sing, dance and rock out to almost every kind of musical genre at this incredible beachfront setting. From rock to jazz to country there is something for everyone. The festival not only includes local but national artists as well, which have included past performances from 311, Cracker, Train, Sheryl Crow, Culture Club, Goo Goo Dolls, Zac Brown Band and more! Although we’re still waiting on the full line up for this year’s festival to be released we do know we’ll be seeing another year of 311 as well as, of course, Sister Hazel.
So get your running and dancing shoes (or sandals) ready and register to join Rock ‘n’ Roll as we run, dance and raise our hands along the boardwalk this Labor Day Weekend!
*Runners have access to the American Music Festival by showing their race bib. Half Marathon runners receive complimentary access all weekend long, 5K get access to Sunday night’s concert only, Mile on the Sand excluded.
