The EDP Rock 'n' Roll Madrid Marathon & 1/2 is also solidary. And a lot. In the 2018 edition, the race collect 42.270€ that have been allocated to charity causes. All a declaration of intentions and commitment of an organization that wants to return to society all the support received during more than 40 years running Madrid.
The Solidarity Inscriptions, made through the Mapoma Foundation and Runner's World Magazine, collaborate with Bomberos Unidos Sin Fronteras (BUSF), Madrid También Solidario Foundation and the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER) in the first case, and with Aldeas Infantiles in a second.
Between both initiatives, in 2018 a total of 700 Solidarity Registrations were donated, a figure that is expected to increase in the 2019 edition. And the fact is that the organization of the EDP Rock 'n' Roll Madrid Marathon & 1/2 is not going to stop with those € 42,270 donated to solidarity causes, but it’s even more committed to making this event a celebration of running and, of course, solidarity.
Because there is no better way to cross the Finish Line than knowing that you haven’t run just for you, but you have done for all those who have not been able to enjoy the tremendous feeling of get through Madrid streets. For this reason and for everything received over so many years, the EDP Rock 'n' Roll Madrid Marathon & 1/2 is solidary.
