During the EDP Rock 'n' Roll Madrid Marathon & ½ of 2019, accessibility will be ensured to facilitate the inclusion and well-being of all participants and the staff that helps in the race.
Measures will also be activated to reduce the consumption of water, energy, materials and other resources. Likewise, recycling and the reuse of waste generated will be promoted.
Through these actions, carried out for first time in the 2018 edition, the EDP Rock 'n' Roll Madrid Marathon & ½ obtained the "Event with Good Environment" label, created by Coca-Cola to recognize those events that have the criteria collected in the "Events with Good Environment" guide. This Coca-Cola guide details the environmental and social requirements that the events in which their brand take part.
During the test, there were 11 refreshments with containers so that participants in the race can recycle. And in the last refreshment, 20 volunteers encouraged runners to recycling with responsibly. With the help of all, the generated waste could be recycled and reused.
