HEADLINER ACT AT THE TOYOTA ROCK 'N' ROLL CONCERT SERIES IS DRAGONDEER!
Colorado natives, Dragondeer, will hit the stage at Rock 'n' Roll Denver Half Marathon. With their thick blues rock sound, you will hear traces of early Led Zeppelin with their hybrid Mississippi Delta blues and 1960s psychedelic rock. Their hit song "Don’t That Feel Good” is a folk-blues song with amazing percussion choices. Dragondeer is rapidly propelling onto the Denver music scene and they will be treating you after your race at Rock 'n' Roll Denver!
ENTERTAINMENT ON THE COURSE
Music every mile makes up the heart and “sole” of this event. Live Denver bands will be performing a variety of music from alternative to classic rock, punk, funk and blues to jazz it up. The bands will keep the course pulsating as runners rock their way from start to finish!
FACE THE MUSIC
David James who performs as “Jess Wingenette” along with Tami Poortman “the face” in Face the Music have forged a dynamic group that covers music from all genres. Our set list is designed to accommodate people from all ages and back grounds. The bulk of our music is 70’s and 80’s rock with a taste of country and a little funk. We pride ourselves in being able to perform many requests as well. The rhythm section Ryan on drums and Ignacio on bass are the backbone of this group. Stan on lead guitar coming to Colorado from St Louis, brings to us the tasty sounds of Santana and more. These group of professionals will amaze and inspire.
SOUTH TO CEDARS
South To Cedars is a four-piece acoustic Americana band based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Described as a powerhouse of tight vocal harmony and precise instrumentation, South To Cedars blends elements of folk, bluegrass, and rock, to deliver an original brand of genre-bending tunes that honor a variety of musical styles and influences. While original songs run the gamut between traditional singer/songwriter & modern acoustic roots-rock, familiar cover tunes are creatively rebirthed for audiences
to hear them in an entirely new way.
30,000 Days was formed in 2014 in Denver, Colorado with a goal of writing and performing classic rock 'n' roll music. The music is old school, related (perhaps a cousin) to the rock music streaming out of our car windows up and down the streets of our teenage years. Loud guitars, hard hitting rhythms and most of all melodic hooks that stay in your head, long after the songs have stopped. It's a fuel that burns full-throttle, ignited by the heat of soulful voices with the power and passion of live performance.
Kenny Perkins Band
Kenny Perkins is an award-winning songwriter who won the Colorado Composers Classic two years in a row, garnering airplay on various radio stations and appearing on both compilation albums. From the Wilds of Alaska to the roadhouses of Texas where he met guitar legends like Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Johnson, he very creatively weaves his guitar and voice through his own composition, informed by the blues and steeped in his own unique brand of soul.
3x Ameripolitan nominee Adam Lopez is an American roots music encyclopedia. His latest effort is a 4 song country E.P. cut in Nashville at the legendary Cinderella Sound. Owned and operated by the Nashville session great Wayne Moss, Lopez' latest release sounds like it came from Nashville's oldest continually running studio. Featuring the great Lloyd Green on steel guitar, "The Cinderella Sessions" has open new doors for Lopez and his penchant for pushing the boundaries of classic sounds.
