About 30,000 registered runners took to the streets of Music City for the 19th annual St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville Marathon & ½ Marathon this Saturday. The course started on Broadway as it took runners past all the honky tonks of downtown Nashville and treated them to iconic landmarks including Country Music Hall of Fame, Music Row, Belmont University and Bicentennial Mall.

Runners enjoyed a 26.2 mile block party with live music and entertainment on course before finishing outside of Nissan Stadium, home of the NFL Tennessee Titans. Participants moved along to more music than ever with all new mile-markers that included speakers and race pacers who ran with mobile speaker packs. Scott Wietecha took his sixth straight title in the marathon while Stella Christoforou took the top spot in women’s race. Roosevelt Cook and Gisela Olalde finished first in the half marathon.
