The Humana logo

“The Rock ‘n’ Roll series has such a rich history of bringing people together from all walks of life with inspiring stories,” said Humana VP of Marketing, Jennifer Bazante. Humana believes that great things are ahead of you when your health is ready for them and whether you are running your first race, or fiftieth, participating in a Rock ‘n’ Roll event is a FUN way for people to get active and #StartWithHealthy.

We all get by with a little help from our Friends! At all Humana title races, associates volunteer to come out and support runners and walkers as they complete the “Humana Mile”, a section of the course designed to encourage and celebrate runners. The one mile stretch starts off with a water station to keep runners hydrated and healthy, and continues on with loud music, an inflatable misting arch, feather flags, and a cheer squad waving American flags to give you an extra boost of motivation during the race!

However, Humana isn’t just there for you over the race weekend; their hope is that you will continue on your personal journey to well-being by staying active and training year round. In order to encourage and enable people to pursue a healthy active lifestyle, race participants can do it for a great cause with Humana and Charity Miles. Runners and walkers can download the free Charity Miles app for Android or iPhone, select one of 20+ charities, and for every mile logged during training or the race, Charity Miles will donate 25 cents to the selected cause. Download the Charity Miles app today and join them in supporting a cause that motivates you to #StartWithHealthy.

Everyone has a reason for participating in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series. It is a hobby for some, while others use the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series to overcome a challenge. We want to know your story. Who or what inspired you to get healthy?
Rock ‘n’ Roll Moments is a great way to share and inspire others to get out and #StartWithHealthy.
