They say everything’s bigger in Texas, and Rock ‘n’ Roll Dallas is no exception. In addition to a rockin’ course, what else can you expect in the Big D?
First of all, be #DallasBIG courtesy of Visit Dallas. These are located throughout town — find your own creative way to show spirit!
Hit up the Saturday 5K at Fair Park and you’ll get to take in the sights of the Texas State Fair Grounds. The start and finish line take place at the Cotton Bowl, which makes a great backdrop for finisher pics!
Get a selfie on the iconic Margaret Hunt Hill bridge, one of the highlights of the half marathon course.
Beef is a staple in Texas, and brisket is the meat of choice. Check out the plentiful spots around town. Don’t be surprised if you smell smoke while running — someone might be BBQing meat on the sidelines to make you hungry for that finish line.
From the actual flag, which is flown throughout the city, to Texas flag inspired clothing, Texans love to rock their gear at races!
Your first taste of the cowboy culture comes at Pioneer Plaza, next to the Dallas Convention Center (home of the Health & Fitness Expo). Look for the stampede of bull statues on your way in.
Steer not your thing? Check out the lasso-ing cowboy along the course — a great photo opp!
As you come into the finish line, you’ll be greeted by the world-famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders!
Deep in the heart of north Texas, you’ll find a great race experience at Rock ‘n’ Roll Dallas. For a second dose of Texas fun (and breakfast tacos), take in Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio, too!
