Either of the following will be accepted as proof of a qualifying negative test:
The documentation must include the participant’s name, type of test performed and confirmation of both the negative result and that the date of the test falls within the 72-hour requirement.
Additionally, every person attending the event must go through a passive health screening. The following questions will be asked:
Within the last 14 days:
1. Have you been diagnosed with, tested positive for, or treated for Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)?
2. Have you or your support team, or anyone in your household traveled with or been in prolonged contact with someone with known Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)?
3. Have you or your support team, or anyone in your household provided care to a known COVID-19 patient?
4. Have you or your support team experienced any of the following:
a. Fever (temperature greater than 100.4°F/38°C)
b. Chills
c. Trouble breathing or shortness of breath
d. New or worsening cough
e. Loss of smell or taste, or change in taste
f. Sore throat
g. Headache
h. Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
i. Muscle or body ache
For the safety of everyone, please answer honestly.
Any participant that can answer “YES” to any of the above questions is asked not to enter the venue and contact the emergency number on the screening signs. If you are currently experiencing any of the above symptoms, or if you currently would answer YES to the first question, we please ask that you do not attend the race. Based on internal evaluation and discussions with local officials in regards to hosting the United Airlines Rock ‘n’ Roll Washington D.C. Half Marathon event on March 27 with the current status of COVID-19, we have determined that the event will be better positioned to return on Nov. 13, 2021. Our team will continue to work hard developing and refining a safe and exceptional event experience that follows guidelines and recommendations in a manner consistent with local community objectives and within the expectations set by public health entities as it relates to COVID-19. After evaluating the current status and impacts of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with local officials, we regret to share that Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville cannot take place as originally scheduled on April 24-25 in the interest of both our participants and host community’s health and well-being. While this is a disappointing way to start the year, officials from Rock ‘n’ Roll and the City of Nashville feel confident the event will be better positioned for a strong return in the Fall of 2021. Based on Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville utilizing Nissan Stadium as a key venue for the event, the new Fall 2021 race date is dependent on the Tennessee Titans home schedule and thus will be confirmed and communicated as soon as the NFL schedule is available for us to work through with host city officials and stakeholders. Our team will continue to work hard developing and refining operational plans in a manner consistent with local community objectives and within the guidelines and recommendations set by public health entities as it relates to COVID-19. In light of recently announced UK Government guidelines as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic and following discussions with Liverpool City Council, we regret to announce that the 2021 Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon & ½ Marathon, cannot take place on May 29 – 30, 2021 and has been rescheduled to October 23 – 24, 2021. This includes the 2021 Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k on Penny Lane, 5k, and 1 Mile Fun Run events. Over the last several months, our team has been painstakingly working with various host city partners, stakeholders, the Las Vegas community, and local professional sports organizations on all potential event options that will best meet the needs of our participants and race community.
As a result of the efforts made by many both inside and out of our organization, we are pleased to share Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas will make its much-awaited return to The Vegas Strip on February 26-27, 2022 offering half marathon, 10K, and 5K distances. This will mark the start of a new chapter with the event shifting from its traditional November date to an early-year event.
Moving to February will provide participants the same amazing experience of the biggest running party on the planet, with a few new twists along the way while allowing participants to truly own Vegas for the Rock 'n' Roll race weekend.

After further discussion and internal evaluation regarding the future of Rock ‘n’ Roll New Orleans Marathon & ½ Marathon and the March 6-7, 2021 race date, we have come to conclusion that we cannot viably operate the event in 2021. The event will now return on February 5-6, 2022.

Based on internal evaluation and discussions regarding the viability of hosting the event in 2021, we have determined that Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona will return to the race calendar on Jan. 15-16, 2022. Based upon internal evaluation and discussions regarding the viability of hosting the Santa Cruz Half Marathon in relation to the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have determined that the event cannot take place in 2021. Limited Edition Medals
Based on the changes to our qualifying events (Capital to Coast, Southern Charm, Cheese Fries to Cheesesteak and Cali Combo Limited Edition Medals) in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the decision to extend these medals into 2021 and allow our runners to qualify by running the affected events over multiple years. TourPass
Based on the necessary changes to the 2020 Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series schedule in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be extending the use of the 2020 TourPass through the 2021 schedule. You will be able to use any remaining credits from your 2020 TourPass for 2021 races as race registrations open. Please note that this extension only applies to 2020 TourPasses that were purchased on or before April 16, 2020.
Heavy Medals
Based on the necessary changes to the 2020 Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series schedule in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the decision to include all 2021 Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series races as qualifying events for the 2020 Heavy Medals collection. All Marathon and Half Marathon distance events completed in 2020 and in 2021 will count towards the 2020 Heavy Medals.
