  • If parking at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center: Enter on Almaden near the Hilton Hotel as Market St. will be inaccessible due to the race route.
  • If parking in the SAP Center: Enter using Julian St. and Montgomery St. as Santa Clara will be inaccessible due to the race route.

Public Transportation:

  • On Saturday, October 3, 2026 and Sunday, October 4, 2026, as the official public transportation provider of Rock ‘n’ Roll San Jose , the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will be offering FREE rides for all registered participants.  Your bib is your VTA fare!  Just present your official race bib to any bus or lightrail operator and/or fare inspector and hop on board.  To plan your trip, please download Transit app and use Transit’s Real Time Information for your convenience.
    • Ride the VTA Light Rail: Exit Convention Center, Children’s Discovery Museum or San Antonio stations.
    • Park at any of VTA’s free Park & Ride lots.
    • For non-participants and spectators:
      • Rates: $2.50/adult single ride, $1.25/youth (ages 5-18).

Tips on Getting Around the City:

Ride the VTA light rail (exit at Convention Center or Children’s Discovery Museum) and purchase an 8-hour Excursion Pass as your round trip ticket!

For added convenience, you can park in any of VTA’s free park & ride lots and enjoy the ride.  Go green, and ride VTA Light Rail! Visit their website for more information.

We highly recommend you use Waze to drive to the event as the road closures will automatically be incorporated into the directions.
 

Road Closures:
Race day road closures may impact your travel to and from the event. Be aware and plan by studying our road closure list and alternate access information.

SAP Center Parking

SAP Center offers daily parking for Caltrain riders, commuters, and local businesses. Download overview map for SAP parking lot.

Daily Pass ($10) can be purchased via ParkMobile. Pick a ZONE number based on the lot you desire. Review the rules and restrictions below before purchasing.


Parking at SAP Center:

  • SAP Center Lot “D”, located on the corner of Santa Clara and Montgomery streets, offers 200 spaces for daily parkers.
  • SAP Center Lot “ABC” on Santa Clara Street between Montgomery and Cahill Streets offers 1,500 spaces for daily and monthly parkers.
  • Delmas East lot is located on Delmas Street between Santa Clara Street and San Fernando 
     

Rules and Restrictions:

  • Daily passes are valid at SAP Center until 5:30 p.m. on EVENT days and midnight on NON-EVENT days, Monday – Friday.
  • On EVENT days, vehicles must exit by 5:30 pm. Vehicles parked after 5:30 pm will be subject to paying the event rate, typically $40.

Taxi & Ride Share

  • Drop your runner off on Almaden Blvd between San Carlos and Park.
  • To exit the area after dropping your runner, turn left on Park or u-turn at Park and head back south on Almaden Blvd.
