LAS VEGAS (Feb. 24, 2024) – The 14th running of the iconic Rock ‘n’ Roll® Running Series Las Vegas commenced as participants of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds conquered the 2024 Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas 5K in Downtown Las Vegas on Saturday night.

As runners and walkers alike crossed the finish line at the Fremont Street Experience, they were swept up in the annual celebration located at the Downtown Las Vegas Event Center. Creating a memorable evening, they were treated with live performances from the likes of DJ Cable, DJ Mal-Ski, and DJ Marlon Dasoul while also accompanied by electric acts. Several interactive experiences and games, photo opportunities, local artists, food trucks, cocktails, and much more created an unforgettable fun filled evening.

The start to the two-day weekend of immersive running experiences saw Sullivan Clark (27-year-old from New Zealand) as the first to cross the finish line in the men’s field with a time of 16:58 while Glynis Milne (38-year-old from Canada) crossed first in the women’s field with a time of 19:35.

“I’ve known about this race for quite a while, but this is my first time. My buddy was at the Health Expo yesterday and realized we could still get in, so we registered kind of last minute,” said Clark. “It’s good to see so many people getting involved in running. Running is such a big part of my daily life and I hope more people get encouraged to get physically active. It’s the best thing that you can do for your body.”

“I think this is my fifth time running here since 2015,” said Milne. “I love Vegas. Vegas is one of my favorite cities to come to. The race atmosphere is just so great – you have to be prepared to come here and work hard but its so fun.”

As Saturday night’s energy comes to a close, the party is just getting started, as half marathon and 10K participants will take to iconic Vegas Strip on Sunday evening. Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas combines live music with entertainment, providing a best-in-class and unforgettable experience for participants running down the iconic Las Vegas Strip at night. With a distance for everyone, including half marathon, 10K as the world’s largest running party will once again invite runners, athletes, tourists, locals, and party enthusiasts from around the world to take to the street. Participants will pass by iconic sights including the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign, Downtown Las Vegas, the fountains of Bellagio and finishing mid-Strip.
